Easy
1 pound green beans
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar (I like the Bartenura)
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix beans with oil and sesame seeds. Spread out in a baking sheet with sides and roast for about 15 minutes. Mix together the balsamic vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. Drizzle over green beans.
i also make this with a slight variation; i add mushrooms cut in half and1 large onion cut into moon shapes i also put fresh garlic cloves minced ,and black pepper to the above recipe and i omit the sugar ,you dont need it! al taam varaich ain lihitvakaioch!
Can these be made ahead and not get mushy?
I make them ahead of time. The are cooked until soft so its okay if they are reheated and a little softer. I undercook them a little bit so that when I reheat them they don’t get too mushy.
You don’t cook the green beans before hand I take it….and do you heat up the balsamic vinegar, sugar and soy sauce before pouring it over? Thanks…love your website very helpful
You don’t heat that either; the only cooking is the roasting of the beans in the oven. Enjoy!
